A few Master interships recently started within the framework of IMPRESSION-ESM:

  • Gabriel Clair (CNRM)is working on the parameterization of ice cloud longwave radiative properties in the ARPEGE-Climat models.
  • François Chaffard (LOCEAN) is working on Antarctic downslope currents in NEMO.
  • Thomas Gantz (LOCEAN) is working on vertical coordinates in NEMO.

Filip Kiala recently joint IPSL to work on the multi-tiling approach within the ORCHIDEE land surface model.

« Après 4 ans au Laboratoire de Géologie de l’ENS Paris, je rejoins le programme TRACCS pour travailler sur l’avancement du modèle de surface terrestre ORCHIDEE. Mon postdoctorat contribuera à la transition vers un nouveau schéma de tuilage, améliorera la stabilité numérique des calculs d’hydrologie des sols, et étudiera l’effet du carbone du sol sur les propriétés hydrauliques des sols. »
